Hummus
What:
- Some legumes (chickpeas, red lentils, green peas, whatever you can get)
- Tahini paste…or roasted sunflower seeds
- Lime
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- Sun dried tomatoes, red pesto or roasted paprika if you want to be fancy (you know you do)
How:
Prepare legumes (soak overnight, boil, just make them soft and edible). The leftover water from cooking is called aquafaba. It's a thing.
Blend with tahini or seeds, add some lime juice, mashed garlic, olive oil and everything else. Blend again.
You can spread it on anything and it will taste better.
